Northumbria Leisure Limited was formed in 1973 by Peter Macklam, who, after many years of experience in a senior capacity at Bell Fruit and Scottish Breweries, realised the need for a reliable, quality, independent supplier of gaming and entertainment equipment to the growing Pub and Social Entertainment market sectors, his business was formulated on three main business principles that remain in place today . . .

WHERE IT ALL STARTED . . .
Northumbria Leisure Limited started life in a modest Industrial Unit on the outskirts of Hexham, the small workforce of eight loyal staff and three family members making up the key positions within the company
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
We’ve come a long way from the first Industrial Unit Offices and a trusty Peugeot 607 Estate Car and we now occupy larger office premises with workshop and storage facilities combined.
THE MODERN DAY SET UP
The current business is headed up by Dave Macklam, son of Peter, who is loyal and determined to uphold the key original principles of good value and terrific customer service instilled into him by his father . . . as you can see from this picture, Dave was quick to adopt a professional approach even at the tender age of 12 !!!
QUALITY IN EVERY ASPECT
A key element to the work we do, that has been constantly developed over a number of years, is the ability to repair every aspect of the machines we offer, from electronic systems on Fruit Machines to technical cloth coverings on Pool Tables, we have gained a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in all of these different disciplines over the past 50 or so years
